Rounding out the last post of the year has me grateful for all the families - including families with three kiddos - whom I get to see through the exciting phases of babydom and big kid-dom. I met these guys when they had their third baby, L, about 2 1/2 years ago, and I got to see them for a Baby’s First Year package for three photoshoots in L’s first year. Now I got to come back and OMG what a big girl L has become! And biggest sister A has so many fewer teeth!

One of my favorite things in the world is to take pictures of kids reading. It’s such a hugely important part of development, and it’s also just such an incredible thing to have documented - when the 7 year-old actually CAN read to the five and two year-olds!

CHEEeeeeese! Always necessary to get the grins, and these kids have some star quality smiles.
Littlest 2 and a half-year-old L had a blast. I can’t believe how much she grew since this time last year!
Balancing like a frog, snowballs and the Hulk. Check.
And biggest toothless girl A! Love that seven year-old grin.
And even though nobody really wanted to go out and play in the snow, we brought some snow up onto the deck and had fun there. Until tragedy struck and a snowball actually hit the deck. Ooops!
