I haven't done an all black-and-white post here on the blog in forever, and this one completely deserves the honor!
This morning I was minding my own business, working away on my last edit from last Sunday's batch of sessions, prepping for tomorrow's Public Garden Minishoot when my phone rang. One quick conversation later and I was checking my batteries and my camera cards and on my way to meet this little seven month old cutie pie for his first professional photoshoot.
Because mama was out for the day, and we needed to QUICK do a photoshoot to surprise her for Mother's Day!
This sweet face did not disappoint:
We started out in the cute overalls mama loves... because we knew she'd appreciate some dressed-up photos in a favorite outfit...
And of course those little seven month old fingers and toes... absolutely MUST be documented...
But soon enough, this little guy's daddy obliged me and we stripped him down to just a diaper so we could fully document the squish that comes with this amazing age.
Not to mention the EYELASHES!
He's such a good sitter! Very strong core game on this guy.
FLYING BOY! (Hahaha I love his expression here...)
And again with the sweet squishy body parts... they absolutely must be documented at this age...
I think if you've seen my work before you might guess where we ended the session...
We got messy with some food. Because even though this wasn't merely a 2o minute messy minishoot, I *always* encourage mess whenever parents will let me.
Because THESE are the photos I want you to frame and hang in your kitchen forever.
It was an absolute PLEASURE meeting you both this morning, and I hope mama totally adores these photos. And I hope we get to meet up for first birthday photos this fall in the Public Garden... because two sessions in a year and a coffeetable album (my annual plan) is just the best.
And this handsome guy needs some photos with his mama!
Happy Mother's Day!
