I adored meeting Erin and Evan for the first time for their maternity photos! Erin and I had had such a nice conversation as we planned this session on the phone a couple of weeks ago - so getting to do the pictures just felt like a treat, like I was going on a walk with friends.
We started on their roof deck...
And then got to stretch our legs a bit with a wander around Charlestown. So many beautiful things to see and do around there for photoshoots.
We headed over to their favorite park - the light was so lovely there!
And with a 4pm start time for our session in August, the light was actually just lovely everywhere... not to mention the bright personalities on display throughout 😉
We talked about everything as we walked around! We talked about the really fun bat mitzvahs for Evan's older daughters... we talked about how much they were looking forward to becoming big sisters to the wee one... it was just nice, easy, relaxed.
It was just a pleasure to hang out and walk.
I love using the maternity session as a time to get to know people. It's always just nice because we're just a few adults, hanging out - before we add a tiny new human who has needs and desires that require tending... 😉
Interested in a social distancing outdoor maternity minishoot? My pricing for those for 2021 is here.
Not sure if you want to do photos, but the whole "having a new baby in your house" thing is definitely happening? I just launched a new VIP Facebook Group and I would just ADORE it if you'd come hang out with me in there!
My new group is called Year One Together.
It's for new parents who are getting excited about or already navigating their baby's first year here in the Boston area. I interview local experts in all-things-baby every Friday, and then those interviews are saved in the group archive so you can watch them anytime. Topics the experts are covering in their interviews with me will include: "Dressing your Baby in Boston Weather", "Do I want a Doula? A Midwife?", "Buying a First Home around Boston", "Postpartum: The Emotional Side", "Year One With Twins"... and so much more. Hope to see you in there!

Don't have a baby in your house right now, but you live in the Boston area and want a fun online community of families to connect with? Come join my group for families with older children - it's called Boston Families Together and you can join that group here.
Or you could go check out Erin's new baby pictures, and then I also posted a sweet testimonial video that she sent me about our work together for those first two sessions.
You can watch the video of Erin talking here.
