There was a really fantastic ah-ha moment this morning, as we waited in the Juvenile Court waiting area, when the youngest brother in this family realized... "Hey! You know what? My dads aren't going to have to put an emoji over my face when they post pictures of me online anymore.
It's my adoption day!"
The excitement and joy in the air was palpable. It's today! It's happening!
Look at these dads and their boy. Makes my heart burst.
We started out by hanging out in the waiting area outside the Juvenile Court; everybody was just so excited and ready. The waiting area outside the juvenile courtroom at the Worcester County Courthouse is full of books, and the kids each got to take a book or two home - just fantastic!
The group of people assembled here with this family obviously put their heart and soul into making this day happen. Everybody just so obviously loves these kids.
Officially three siblings! Plus some photobombs by people who worked hard to get them here! 😉
And then it was time to go into the courtroom. Sweet S got to sit in the center, since it was his big day. The microphone was pretty fun.
He got to sign his own name on the certificate, with a funky light-up pen he was gifted by the judge!
And then we all got to listen to the official pronouncement! Final and irrevocable!
And Mr. S got to bang the gavel three times to announce to the world his new status as the youngest member of one fantastic family!
So much joy! I was so grateful to be able to bask in the glow of this morning with you guys. Congratulations everybody!!
