I’m taking a minute this week to just bubble over here on the blog with gratitude for all the old friends with new babies who call me up and ask me to come document their babies’ early days.
Two friends in particular have called me this fall and I'd like to highlight them here. These two mamas both had babies this summer, and I got to go meet both of their babies this fall. The funny thing is, we three have been attending the same family holiday party since infancy. And let’s just pretend we were all infants together, to simplify the story, k? No reason to talk too much about ages. We were all adorable and tiny together.
Old Friends, New Babies
We’ll start with this team of four - toes galore, and cute fun hangout time to boot.
Isn’t she delicious? Three months-old here… just days after Mama went back to work, and just incredible.
I think we can agree this kid hit the smile gene jackpot.
This expression on C’s big sister E’s face just gets me - I hear you, girl. I was the big sister back in the day! I get it.
And when that baby starts to cry?? Oy! At least big girl E got some time outside with Daddy playing in the leaves.
Zzzzs came soon enough.
And then I need to also show you 10 week-old baby O, along with his feline sibling Mufasa here. Regal, right?
Maisy, not to be outdone in the bottom left, completely stole the show for that shot. Her expression kills me. But this boy… just too much cuteness.
Oh the quiet nursing moments, I just adore them. And the baby parts, don’t get me started.
Sweetness and sunlight by the window.
More feline perfection and some mama snuggles to wrap it all up.
Here’s what I’m grateful for this year. I’m grateful to all my clients out there who let me come into their homes and do this with them. This, right here, it’s what I adore, and it’s what makes me extraordinarily happy and thankful.
Enjoy time with your families and turkeys, everybody. Sending love and gratitude your way today and every day.
