Dedham, MA – 25 hours old, and a first bath!

Yesterday morning, this extraordinary woman pushed a tiny perfect creature out into the world.

And my husband Evan and I were lucky enough to go visit their whole team in the hospital this morning - the best way in the whole wide WORLD to start a day...

Look at those perfect fair eyelashes!

She's just incredible, you guys.

And this guy? He's only one of my very best friends in the whole world, and HE'S A DADDY!!! He's already a pro.

Now, during Evan's and my visit, their nurse came in and asked if she could give little miss her first bath. I was SO excited to be there for that. I mean, her mother has the BEST hair of anyone I know (I am not exaggerating), so I bet little E will also have incredible hair. It's already perfect, actually, as you can see in the top right picture just below here.

And I got to be there for the first time it was ever shampooed! I mean, that's pretty cool, guys. So she didn't adore the beginning part. As you can see, she was a little frustrated by the rubdown...

But as the bath continued, she got a lot more comfortable with it. Just look at this very last picture down there at the bottom of the post... she got to the point where it felt pretty good!

Oh sweet, sweet, perfect, wonderful girl. WELCOME to the world. You are so very, very loved.
