That’s a no brainer. This thing needed to be documented.

The frosting quite literally took over the kitchen. I would walk through the kitchen area in the hours before the party and Marcy would ask me, do you think we have enough frosting? I don’t believe there’s ever enough, so it’s possible we may have made about 5x too much frosting. But it looked incredible! All different kinds!!

Of course their goldendoodle Suzi had to get in on the action. She’s a champion poser. The fact that she wore a birthday hat just about killed me right then and there.

Did you catch that this was not only cupcake wars, as in, the girls made cupcakes… but they also had judges! A daddy, a sister, and a professional chef! And a 2nd daddy as the Emcee. It was perfect.

The creations were gorgeous!

The kids worked hard.

And of course there were ice cream cupcakes to celebrate the big nine year olds.

I’m so honored I got to be this Boston kids birthday party photographer - and also glad we did it at Marcy’s house because she got to clean up the confetti later.
