Nothing beats that call or email when a beloved client/friend tells me they’re having another baby. It just makes my heart sing! And we did Baby’s First Year packages with both big brother P and (now middle) brother H, so little new pumpkin N gets to do the same thing this year.
Newborn Lifestyle Photo Session
Life with three boys under four looks to be… incredible. These guys are totally rocking it, of course. You know, no big deal, just getting one brother to ride on my back while playing with my new baby brother’s toes. Your standard squashing of dad while nuzzling H. And some big brothers playing with Dad while Mama makes sure sweet three week-old N isn’t crushed. You know, the usual.
And the best part of these kind of newborn lifestyle photo sessions is that everybody gets into it. There’s running around, there are shoulder rides… there’s whacking, there’s crying… we do all the things.
But here’s the thing. I also get these kind of pictures. Because these are the ones grandma wants in the frame, dontcha think?
And we get to spend some time with just the older guys, too, collecting moments of time - because being 21 months-old is pretty fantastic. And 3 1/2? Not too shabby either.
But back to little new Mr. N. Doesn’t he have the BEST cheeks? I am insanely obsessed with the photo on the bottom right here - where the big brothers are playing on the floor and Mama is cuddling N. The moment in time it captures just takes my breath away.
And of course some daddy sweet time.
Those lips! And biggest brother P just loves his new baby so much. Those toes!
They’re just a great team, these guys. Of course life is insane, but that’s the whole point of doing a newborn lifestyle photo session at home - it tells the story of right now.
Because right now? It's kind of incredible, what's happening.
