If you’re visiting this blog to learn about Boston Baby Photos’s 10th Anniversary this year, thanks for coming! I created the show to commemorate ten years and thousands of photoshoots with all of Boston Baby Photos’ fantastic families. The show featured one hundred black & white photos of children and families, divided into ten thematic categories. It traveled to libraries and public spaces around Boston from June 2013-May 2014.

I created a brochure that outlines all the parts of the gallery show and the Jimmy Fund benefit, and you can download the PDF here. Or if you prefer to click around on the blog for more detailed information about each of the phases, the links are below.

Page2Here’s a timeline of events, complete with links to information about each one.

  • June 9, 2013: Phase 1 – A Cocktail Party Benefit for The Jimmy Fund/Steel & Rye Gallery Show (the invitation and photos of us setting it up are here, and photos of the party itself are here) which raised $3,500+ for the Jimmy Fund

And then the show began its tour…

  • August 2013: Phase 3 – The Gallery Show in the Milton Public Library. All of the 100 photos hanging in the show are sorted by category on the blog here.
  • June 1, 2014: Reception at the Brookline Main Library in Hunneman Hall, which closed out a year of travels for the show. I hosted a closing reception, and families whose photographs were in the show were invited to come to that reception and trade a donation to the Jimmy Fund for their mounted photo from the show. A representative from The Jimmy Fund was there, and we presented her with our final grand total check for $6,106. Our “big check” is pictured here.

So that’s a little explanation of the whole hullabaloo.  I described a lot of it in different places on the blog, and they’re all tagged with the 10yrs tag, so you’ll eventually get to all the information if you keep scrolling back through the posts via this 10yrs tag, but I thought it’d be nice to individually link to the details here as well. Thanks for your interest.
