Tub time is the best time

I was on my way home from a morning photoshoot on Saturday and I texted my sister, to ask her if she wanted me to get her anything from the Home Depot near her house. (They have the BEST plants, btw…) She said no, but she was making a sandwich and did I want one… yes, obviously, and she said I should let myself in when I got to her house because she’d be giving the babies a bath when I got there. I said, “Oh, dude WAIT! I have my camera in the car. If you wait I’ll document the bath.”

So she waited.

And I’m glad.

Because I love nothing more than tub pictures. (Hence the Messy-Face-Tub-Time minishoots I just introduced.)

But that’s neither here nor there. For now… just take a look at the awesomeness of this 18 month old niece/nephew/4 year old big sister team.

Do I need to say it again? I’ve said it before, but wet, happy children are REALLY fun to photograph.

Family Photos from Boston, MA to Sharon, MA – seven photoshoots in seven years

This is #25 in my series of Family Retrospective Videos – for more information about this project or to sign up to be added to the list of families who wants one, just let me know. I’ve been trying to make one of these a month since I started this project back in 2014. Now my queue of families who have requested one of these stretches into the middle of 2017, but if I’ve been taking photos of your family for a while, just send me a message and request one – it’ll be a nice surprise when it appears in your email someday.

You can watch more retrospectives here:

Our first photoshoot was in 2009, when little Georgie was only one. I’ve been back to see the six more times since then!

So without further ado, here’s a 6 minute video of Georgianna, Beatrix and Violet’s family with photos from seven photoshoots spread over seven years:

(Hint: Start playing the video, and then click on the little gear thing that takes you to “Settings” in the bottom right corner of the video. Choose 720p to make the slideshow play in high-definition. You can also choose “Full Screen” down there in that corner of the video too.)

Everybody welcoming a sweet new girl

This sweet pumpkin has so much love surrounding her! She was nine days old when we took these photos, and her big 4 1/2 year old sister and her big 2 1/2 year old brother just showered her with attention for the whole photoshoot.

Also, I so often blog my newborn in-home sessions in black and white, I wanted to change it up for you here – every session I shoot is always provided to my clients in both black and white and color, but I sometimes forget to blog the color shots so you can see the cuties’ pink cheeks too.

I met these guys in 2005 when Alexa and Wilson were just four weeks old. So many photoshoots since then, I just adore going back and seeing them again and again.

And without further ado, here’s a 6 minute video of Alexa, Wilson and Lila’s family with photos from ten photoshoots over the last ten years:

(Hint: Start playing the video, and then click on the little gear thing that takes you to “Settings” in the bottom right corner of the video. Choose 720p to make the slideshow play in high-definition. You can also choose “Full Screen” down there in that corner of the video too.)

Spring Public Garden Minishoot #8

I met the biggest sister in this family when she was just one, back in early 2005, when I’d only been a professional photographer for two years. And now she’s almost a TEENAGER too…

I’ve loved seeing these guys throughout the years as they’ve grown.

These pics are fantastic! Thanks Jess!

Eight photoshoots in six years

This is #18 in my series of Family Retrospective Videos – for more information about this project or to sign up to be added to the list of families who wants one, click this link and scroll down the page through the previous posts back to the first or second one (where I describe it in more detail). And the truth is, I’m a month late with this one. I promised them this one in July and I’m really posting it in August but I’m back-dating it. Thanks so much for your patience, guys!

I met these guys in 2009 when they called for a newborn photoshoot for their tiny three week old Charlie. It’s been such fun visiting seven times since then as their family has grown, moved houses and expanded to include the fabulous Will and more recently the lovely Liv.

And without further ado, here’s a 5 minute video of Charlie, Will and Liv’s family with photos from eight photoshoots over the last six years:

(Hint: Start playing the video, and then click on the little gear thing that takes you to “Settings” in the bottom right corner of the video. Choose 720p to make the slideshow play in high-definition. You can also choose “Full Screen” down there in that corner of the video too.)

Nine photoshoots in seven years

This is #17 in my series of Family Retrospective Videos – for more information about this project or to sign up to be added to the list of families who wants one, click this link and scroll down the page through the previous posts back to the first or second one (where I describe it in more detail). And I’ll freely admit it – I’m three months late with this one. I promised them this one in June and I’m really posting it in August but I’m back-dating it. Hoping to do a bunch of these videos this August so I can catch up a bit. Thanks so much for your patience, guys!

This gorgeous mama and I met just a little while ago. Ok, um, maybe more than two decades ago. And I’ve adored documenting her amazing family over the past seven of those years.

And without further ado, here’s a 5 minute video of Katie, Lila and Jackson’s family with photos from nine photoshoots over the last seven years:

(Hint: Start playing the video, and then click on the little gear thing that takes you to “Settings” in the bottom right corner of the video. Choose 720p to make the slideshow play in high-definition. You can also choose “Full Screen” down there in that corner of the video too.)

Public Garden Minishoot #8

I met these guys in the Public Garden for a minishoot back in April – this was their eleventh (!!) photoshoot with me in the last ten years. We met back in March of 2005 for their big girl A’s one year old photoshoot. That doesn’t make me feel old or anything, don’t worry.

And I just LOVE seeing families grow. These minishoots are a great way to keep up the rhythm of photos – and guess what, peeps – I have openings in Saturday, May 9th’s minishoot! I never have openings, this is big news – so if you have any interest in grabbing a spot in my last 2015 spring Public Garden Minishoot (my next mini will be in late Sept/early Oct there), check out the open times at this link.

But without further ado, here are these three cuties:

Nine photoshoots in eight years

I met these guys eight years ago when Anna was only 15 months old and Anthony was a teenie little 3 month old. Sam was only a twinkle in his parents’ eyes! I’ve been back eight times since then, and we’ve had such fun documenting summer splashing, fall running and winter cuddling with these guys.

And without further ado, here’s a 5 minute video of Anna, Anthony and Sam’s family with photos from nine photoshoots over the last eight years:

(Hint: Start playing the video, and then click on the little gear thing that takes you to “Settings” in the bottom right corner of the video. Choose 720p to make the slideshow play in high-definition. You can also choose “Full Screen” down there in that corner of the video too.)

Fall Public Garden Minishoot #22

A bit of a throwback post here, but we may as well. It’s so cold and snowy out there today it’s nice to think about those warmer fall days. I’ve been photographing these three girls since they were each teenie tiny newborn girlies, and I just adore seeing how they’re growing.

Nine photoshoots in nine years

This is #12 in my series of Family Retrospective Videos – for more information about this project or to sign up to be added to the list of families who wants one, click this link and scroll down the page through the previous posts back to the first or second one (where I describe it in more detail).

I first visited these guys back in 2006 when the girls were just 3 years old and 4 months old. It’s been wonderful watching them grow over the last decade.

And without further ado, here’s a 4 minute video of Ava, Rowan and Braiden’s family with photos from nine photoshoots over the last nine years:

(Hint: Start playing the video, and then click on the little gear thing that takes you to “Settings” in the bottom right corner of the video. Choose 720p to make the slideshow play in high-definition. You can also choose “Full Screen” down there in that corner of the video too.)

Trains, trains, trains

Fun game! If you see the smallest brother in the photo, you can play a fun little game of find the train :) He was in the mood to hold on to Thomas the Tank Engine during the photos, and why not? He’s holding on tight to him in every single photo.

I adore this of the three of them most of all:

Wonderful to see you guys as always! I feel like we need to update your family retrospective video to include these. Or we’ll just think of these as the first installment in the next video we can make for you guys in a few more years. ;)

Six photoshoots in five years

This is #8 in my series of Family Retrospective Videos – for more information about this project or to sign up to be added to the list of families who wants one, click this link and scroll down the page through the previous posts back to the first or second one (where I describe it in more detail).

I got to meet these guys five years ago because their cousins had been doing photos with me for a few years already at that point, and they wanted in on the fun. I’ve adored watching them grow.

And without further ado, here’s a 3 1/2 minute video of Brady, Nora and Finn’s family with photos from six photoshoots over the last five years:

(Hint: Start playing the video, and then click on the little gear thing that takes you to “Settings” in the bottom right corner of the video. Choose 720p to make the slideshow play in high-definition. You can also choose “Full Screen” down there in that corner of the video too.)
