Boston Waterfront Family Photographer – The twins enjoy the Rose Kennedy Greenway

In a span of two days I did two different photoshoots on the gorgeous Rose Kennedy Greenway downtown. Both days were hot as can be, but the kiddos did so well! Makes being a family photographer on the Boston waterfront easy, when everybody has such a good time.

This one was successful thanks largely to a super-prepared, mama, methinks… these 22 month old twin girls came with their gorgeous dresses and their de-thorned roses… and boy were they ready to play.

They loved sitting and hanging out with mama…

And exploring all the green shady spaces we could find…

But the best part might have been the splash park. So exciting to discover how to push the button and make it spray!

Basically it was just fun, fun, fun – even though it was hot as can be.

Playing with the roses soon transitioned to playing with mama’s water bottle… nothing beats getting cooled off, after all.

It was perfection! I loved meeting your girls and getting time with you guys. Thanks so much for playing and having fun.

Weymouth MA Baby Photographer – This sweet boy turned one!

Another cutie pie at the end of his Baby’s First Year package! I can’t believe this big boy is already one. We had three wonderful photoshoots this year, and I was so honored to be able to come document this handsome little dude on a gorgeous hot June day about a week ago. We got to play in the yard! Water table amazingness! And what’s better than playing with a hose? Pretty much nothing, when you’re one. Happy birthday, sweet boy!

Milton MA Baby Photographer – My goodness, I love bathtime photos

I am going to tease you with these first few photos because you’re not really going to believe how adorable this little girl is when I show you her face. So I’m starting with her 13 month old arms. Because wrist rolls? Knuckle dimples? People, we got it all here.

Climbing skills?

GA! Told you!!

I just adore this exchange of expressions with Mama:

And now, because you haven’t gotten enough adorableness – it’s tub time.

And some snuggles with Grandma, of course.

Just adored every minute of this shoot, guys. Thanks so much for having me.

A colorful summer boy

I know, I know, I always blog my b&w pictures – but I always show everybody all their photos in both color and b&w… and sometimes a photoshoot just blows my mind with its color. Usually it happens with older children, when we’ve been outdoors and running… and this 4 year old dude is no exception. I’ve been taking his pictures since he was mere weeks old – can’t believe he’s FOUR!

I love going where families love to go – these guys live in Scituate by the water, so we were able to start at home, play in the sprinkler and around the yard, and then head over to the beach for some quick lighthouse / beach fun pictures. I don’t consider myself a typical beach photographer – we get different kinds of playing pictures at the beach, not so posey… but the blue sky that day (a week or so ago) just made me so happy. I think it did the same for 4 yr old K and his hermit crab friends. Can’t wait to meet your new little one in a few short months!

Summer fun with the boys

Six months, two years old and six years old – three fabulous boys.  The toes only tell some of the story… they look so relaxed here… (adorable nonetheless)

I love the energy from the bigger boys in this one and then also little D’s face… plotting an escape?

But really this was supposed to be all about little D – his six month photos. Isn’t he perfect?

Getting a lick:

Riding in the Gator:

Splashing together:

So fun to play with you guys!

Tuesday tip: Splash up a storm

These sunny days of summer allow for fast shutter speeds that capture water droplets in a super-cool way. Find a shady spot in the yard (sun is fun too if you’re ready for a little more challenge) put your camera in manual mode and tell it you want it to do 1/400th of a second for shutter speed or something like that… (if you’re in the shade on a nice sunny day, choose an ISO of 400 or so to give you more wiggle room with shutter speed). Your camera’s metering will tell you what aperture works best for where you are, and then let ’em SPLASH!

Who is that bald cutie? What a difference a year makes! :)

Everybody’s in town, let’s capture it!

Once upon a time, many years ago, two parents had two (what I’m sure were) fantastic little boys.  Then those boys grew up and married two fabulous women.  And then, would you believe it, those two original parents got grandchildren out of the deal! Everybody was together last week and we met up for a walk at Elm Bank in Wellesley.

Sometimes we have an escapee when we try to pose pictures… but that’s OK ;)

Aren’t they a handsome crew?

Balancing act with grandparent support:

And cousins helping each other with the stick:

Cousin squeezes:

I have to smile when I look at this picture.

And A is going to have a little brother or sister soon…

And then the heat got to be too much for us – Dad had to work some water bottle magic:

And last but not least, a wet grandma hug :)

Love, energy and sprinklers

Now about two and a half years ago I took pictures of this extraordinary big sister, but I did it at her grandma’s house, as a surprise for her parents. She’s a strong, amazing 5 year old with some special needs, and now she’s a fantastic big sister to her new brother B. I loved taking pictures at her home this time with her parents and her brother.

First we’ll introduce little B – he’s 3 months old:

And he gets a real kick out of his dad:

Speaking of dad – with Father’s Day coming up this weekend I had to include this one for you guys.  Look at that arm strength on little Miss – giving a real big strong hug.

The moment between mom and dad here was so perfect, I had to include it.  I love the way they’re looking at each other.

Now on to Miss H – with her infectious smile:

Over mama’s shoulder:

And everybody flying:

I really love this moment, too, as Mama watches H practicing her walking with Daddy:

And last but not least, the sprinkler. Nothing beats the sprinkler in the summer!  SO fun to see you guys again.

Frog Pond splashes and curls

We did four photoshoots of this handsome boy last year when he was teenie tiny, and now that he’s a big boy of two, I ADORED spending some time with him splashing around the Boston Common’s Frog Pond last weekend.  This was my 3rd shoot of the day on the day Hurricane Irene blew through – just moments before the rain started.  But it was perfect weather for splashing!  But first we had to do some playing ball…

And bubble popping.

But all of this just led up to the thrilling moment when K got to jump in the Frog Pond.  Happy boy :)

It was such fun splashing around with you!

Jean diapers and ONE!

This handsome guy is turning one this week, so we had to take pictures to commemorate the occasion. I got to see him when he was just super tiny for his newborn pictures, and again when he was six months old – and now look at him!

His mom got those hilarious jean diapers Huggies or someone is making these days, and they made for some great shots :)

Mama and her sweet boy – I love this one:

The water table is his favorite place – his expression can’t be beat:

And they got him a cupcake for the birthday, love these three in a row, telling the story of the experience a bit…

Awesome to see you guys again!
