Boston MA Newborn Session with baby D — it’s a new year!

This sweet girl arrived at the end of 2016, but I got to meet her just last week for her newborn photos. I can’t wait to go back for her six month and one year shots – what a treat. Yay for the Baby’s First Year package :)

I have to say I think my favorite photo is this last fussy girl/smiling grandparents one. Who better understands that a fuss is just a fuss than grandma and grandpa?

I adored meeting you guys, what a great way to start 2017!

Milton MA Baby Photographer – My goodness, I love bathtime photos

I am going to tease you with these first few photos because you’re not really going to believe how adorable this little girl is when I show you her face. So I’m starting with her 13 month old arms. Because wrist rolls? Knuckle dimples? People, we got it all here.

Climbing skills?

GA! Told you!!

I just adore this exchange of expressions with Mama:

And now, because you haven’t gotten enough adorableness – it’s tub time.

And some snuggles with Grandma, of course.

Just adored every minute of this shoot, guys. Thanks so much for having me.

Two grandmas and a big one year old boy

This big guy was lucky enough to have not just one but two grandmas come over during his photoshoot. What fun! I’ve loved this Baby’s First Year of photos with M – he’s grown so much (see those photos in the background in the flying-in-the-air shot? those are from his newborn and six month shoots!)

He’s just fantastic. On to another year of adventures, dude!

Smiles from a boy and his pup

What fun to see these guys again! And gotta love a little Indian summer in late October (this was about 10 days ago when it was 70 degrees out – you know, the usual – late October hose weather…)

A sister who loves to giggle

After a bit of winter cold rescheduling, we finally got these guys documented! 6 year old H and 3 year old W welcomed their new baby sister E in mid-September, and we got to get pictures when she was just about two months old and grinning and giggling up a storm. I’ll let the pictures do the talking, but suffice it to say I adored playing with these guys. And yikes, the picture by the window is killing me with its quiet sweetness.

Three gorgeous generations of women

I’m back! So sorry for the blogging hiatus, guys – I underestimated how tough it’d be to end August and begin September without camp or childcare arranged, so I had to cut out blogging all the families I was editing in that timeframe.  Now I’m back, and if you’d like me to go back and blog your session if I missed you in the last few weeks, let me know – school has started and I’m back in the blogging game.

This photoshoot made me so happy. I have one sister, and now I have two daughters and my sister has one daughter… so this family reminded me so much of us. Last fall was a big birthday for the grandma in this family, so her daughters gifted her with a BBP photoshoot gift certificate, and we got to shoot it in mid-August. I’ll let the pictures tell the story, but suffice it to say, I ADORED this :)

Adventures with a cutie

He was born 6 weeks early, but as his mama put it: in these last nine months he’s been making up for lost time! He loves his yummy soft foods (how perfect are those light eyes caught by the light coming in the window?)  And the one where his parents are blowing in his face to get him to laugh? I love his expression :) I think the one where his mama is kissing his cheek might be my favorite, though.

What a fun photoshoot – thanks so much for inviting me out!

One last post for 2012

Now this is one patient mama – she asked for a blog post a month ago and I have been just running to stand still with this crazy season of the year, but I had to get this up for her before I shut down my computer today (on my last working day of 2012! yahooeeee!).  What a fantastic family these guys are. I’ve loved getting to know them over the past couple of years.  And even better? We got grandma this time, too.  Wonderful to see you guys!

Laurie Hamilton - December 21, 2012 - 5:38 am

It would be really difficult to pick just one of these shots–as a group they really catch the little guy just as he is this moment! Wonderful shots, full of the life of a two-year-old!

Two fun boys, years later

It’s been a few years since I saw these twin boys, so it was really fun for me to come back and see how they’ve grown into smart, fun, energetic 4 year old boys. I love so many of these, but the jumping holding hands one is one of my favorites – and this first one, as they rolled around on the daybed.  Oh, and I can’t forget the tossing leaves one – it makes me smile just to look at all the expressions.

So great to see you guys!

A mama with her girls and their little ones

These two cousins don’t get tons of time to be 3 years old together – they live in different countries!  But I think they made up for lost time when they got together last week – they adored every minute of playtime.

Not to mention they got tons of time with their grandma:

And then we got to go to the beach :)

I loved, loved, loved seeing you guys!

Susan Reardon - July 19, 2012 - 11:06 pm

These pictures are aweome!! What a wonderful shoot of three generations!

Susan Reardon

The house where it all began

Back in the mid 70s a young couple bought this house – and I wonder if they ever imagined that more 30 years later, they’d stand out front with their handsome progeny all assembled like this:

With just their grandchildren:

Kiddos alone:

I bet they knew, even back then, that the back yard would be perfect for summer playtime:

The first brave sprinkler jumper-inner, after a good soaking:

With sprinkler help from mom:

And dad:

Exploring with Uncle M:

Hand washing in the hose:

It was so fun to see you guys!

Everybody’s in town, let’s capture it!

Once upon a time, many years ago, two parents had two (what I’m sure were) fantastic little boys.  Then those boys grew up and married two fabulous women.  And then, would you believe it, those two original parents got grandchildren out of the deal! Everybody was together last week and we met up for a walk at Elm Bank in Wellesley.

Sometimes we have an escapee when we try to pose pictures… but that’s OK ;)

Aren’t they a handsome crew?

Balancing act with grandparent support:

And cousins helping each other with the stick:

Cousin squeezes:

I have to smile when I look at this picture.

And A is going to have a little brother or sister soon…

And then the heat got to be too much for us – Dad had to work some water bottle magic:

And last but not least, a wet grandma hug :)

Grandma and Papa were in town

So these two fabulous sisters live here in Boston and Rhode Island, respectively.  And their parents don’t.  So when Grandma and Papa came to town, they stayed in a nice hotel downtown – so we met there last Saturday morning and got loads of fantastic pictures.

Here’s the whole crew, running down Boylston Street.  Kind of amazing in a picture like this when all the faces are smiling – love it.

Then we settled on a bench on the Commonwealth Mall – I love the interactions in this picture, cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents.

One fantastic sister and her family:

And the other fantastic sister and her family:

And then we spent some time on grandparent pictures – these melt my heart.

And I love this one of the sisters and their kiddos:

And the grandparents and their crazy grandchildren:

Such fun to see you guys again!

Rebecca Lowenhaupt - May 15, 2012 - 9:45 am

We had so much fun, and the pictures turned out even better than I imagined! Thanks for such wonderful pics!

Allison - May 15, 2012 - 9:52 am

What a beautiful family!

Tara - May 15, 2012 - 11:39 am

These are beautiful! You are going to be so happy one day that you took the time to do this. Um, is there another cousin coming!?!

Seven days in…

Now this guy has neck control!  I mean, come on now… he’s going to make the other babies jealous with these skills. Seven days old and he’s already lifting his head up and looking over Dad’s shoulder at Mama.

Two wonderful people…

…made one perfect little guy.

Handsome devil.

Wrinkled little feet.

Gazing adoringly at mama.

Here’s one grandma who knows how to soothe a grandchild (he’s her 8th!).

It was a big treat to meet your little dude!  Just one last pic to document your life these days, in a nutshell. I feel like an old lady when I say: “It goes so fast”… but it does. So here’s a shot so you can remember those first few days of swaying and washing baby paraphernalia in the sink.

Welcome sweet G!

Brandy Brooks - May 5, 2012 - 4:25 pm

First off, these photos are amazing. Second, you all are clearly one of the most adorable families in the world. Hope to come meet Gus myself soon!

Lori Roslonek - May 5, 2012 - 9:12 pm

Brilliant work, Dan and Stacy. And incredible photos as always, Jessica. Something tells me Gus will grow very used to the camera and we can’t wait to hear who’s giggle he’s inherited.

Mike Mendyke - May 22, 2012 - 9:35 pm

Love this photo set. My favorite is the the shot of the feet. I think Gus looks very relaxed, as a baby should be. Congratulations to the now-larger Lennon Family!

Marni - May 23, 2012 - 5:55 am

Love love love! Gus, you are one beautiful and very lucky boy. Jess, the photos are incredible!

Joe Wallace - May 23, 2012 - 7:45 am

He’s a beautiful boy (of course). I look forward to meeting you Gus!

Suzanne Powers - May 23, 2012 - 6:31 pm

He’s adorable. Great poses, too!

Giggly and perfect

I have to start this with my favorite (burst-out-laughing-as-I-edited) photo.  We were playing with dandelions and big five year old brother S wanted to show one to ten month old A… and she was nonplussed.

Best. Expressions. Ever.

This girl loves to fly around…

… and explore, like her big brother did at this age.

Luckily, their grandma was visiting when we did pictures, so we got to include her too.

Group tickle-fest:

All these expressions are perfect – especially A as she looks up at Daddy zooming in :)

And look who’s all of a sudden five years old and so big and handsome?

So great to meet little A, and wonderful as always to see you guys!  Bye to you, too, A!

Shannon - April 29, 2012 - 10:49 am
