Oh wow, waste-of-time, let me count the ways! This is my quiet time of year, January through March, so I get to spend lots of time with my daughter, and I normally use this time to plan my marketing for the year. Well lo and behold, I got myself a facebook account, and wow, I’m hooked. I’ve heard it’s great for networking (and not just keeping me up late playing Scrabulous), so if you’re on, click on my page and Become a Fan. Thanks.
What big girls! I’ve been taking photos of M and S since the first year I started my business, and they’re getting so big! Always gorgeous, always fun… see below to see the girls through the years. The other fun idea that they had is that they don’t send out Christmas cards – they always send out Valentine’s Day cards, which gives us all a bit more time during the busy holiday season. Thanks for all the fantastic moments, guys!
And last year, in 2006, we had to do a little karaoke, of course.
And 2003, the first year – look how tiny!
A and B got this photoshoot as a present from a bunch of their friends, and we get to do one after the baby’s born too. They were such a sweet couple, I loved spending time with them. Expecting the first baby is such a fantastic time – so exciting. I can’t wait to meet their new little person!
Here’s beautiful A alone. I love the lines of this one, the round belly within the more angular triangle. And there’s so much to think about with the first baby… I like the moment, too.
These three guys were fantastic. We had a cold day, but they decided to go coatless anyway, which I think looked great. We had to move and groove to stay warm, but that was OK – it made it even more fun.
Here’s O, back in the spring of ’06, when she came in to one of my store photoshoots at Janie & Jack with her younger brother. The way her eyes look here are the whole reason I love shooting studio style once in a while. Gorgeous.
Here’s her brother on that same day in the spring of ’06, enjoying Thomas the Tank Engine the way only a teething boy can. (Thomas was disinfected between each child, don’t worry!)
I’ve been taking pictures of T since he was just a little guy, and it’s so fun to see him playing with M now! Just after she was born we did a shoot, and T was so amazing with her… just such a gentle, sweet brother, I loved it. I’ll post one from that shoot below. And then before that we’d done one last xmas when mom was pregnant with M, and we had lots of fun playing outside. Going back and seeing how families grow and change is one of the best best best parts of doing what I do.
When M was just 5 weeks old, and T was 3, earlier this year, I got to come meet her for her first photoshoot. I can’t say it enough – I love love taking pictures of big siblings with their new baby brothers and sisters. Their interactions are just so amazing. T was so gentle and sweet with his new sister.
And this is from last xmas, back in 2006, when M was still in her mom’s belly, we played outside a bit. I always have such fun with these guys.
And can’t forget T, back in the day at the Janie & Jack store photoshoot in Spring ’05 in my silver washtub with that yellow rubber duck. His little curls behind his ear and those lashes… you can see how much M already looks like him – I love it!

Ooh this guy is just too much. We did a holiday photoshoot last year, when he was just 8 weeks old, and now he had even more hair and more smiles for me. To die for!
And what’s better than a good giggle with mom? Nothing.
And this was last year, when J was only 8 weeks old! I know – incredible, right? He looks so wise, and that head of hair is amazing. What a cutie pie.
Little P was a total dream. I mean, how could he not be? Look at those eyes. We started out inside by the xmas tree…
We went outside with this great sled that P’s mom and dad found at a garage sale. So retro – and he had a blast zipping around the back yard in it. He’s got this great expression he makes for the camera, it cracked me up.
Here’s P earlier this year – totally perfect, cuddled in mom’s arms, when he was only 8 weeks old.
My two year old has been the same way this season – a little apprehensive about the snow. But what fun to capture that feeling… next winter they’ll be crazily making snow angels. I’ve been taking pictures of N since she was just a few weeks old, and I always have such fun seeing how she’s grown.
Here’s N at her baptism in 2006 – taking a moment’s break with her mom.
And when N was just 4 weeks old, back in 2005 – this is one of my all time favorites – here’s N at her first photoshoot. I love the way they’re looking at each other.
C and A were just a treat at their photoshoot! Gorgeous giggles right at the end, while their mom and dad did a little crazy dancing to help me out. And before that we had some really sweet moments in front of the tree.
I met these guys (as I met so many great families) at the Janie & Jack/ Pottery Barn Kids photoshoots when they were just tiny little cuties back in March of ’06. Look at those eyes! Just adorable. And only a few weeks old here.
I love a good mirror shot – and with a cutie like G in the reflection, we couldn’t go wrong. What a grin! I’ve been taking pictures of G since he was a wee one, too… I’ll post some older shots below.
And we can’t forget the family’s first baby.
I came out for G’s first bday this summer, and he enjoyed some pasta with red sauce… you really can’t beat the messy face pictures, I just love them. And do you believe what a little guy he looks like, just six months ago?
And G came to my March ’06 Jimmy Fund Studio Day for his 9 month old pictures – I’m so glad he did! I love seeing how much he changes each time.
And then three months before that, when he was just a leetle 6 mo old guy, we did these shots at his house. Love that grin, even back then!
We played inside, we played outside… we had a great time. A & K have grown so much since last year, when K was just a tiny new arrival. And this year, K looks so much like A did a few years ago, it’s so neat!
And then last year, when K was just 3 weeks old, sleeping on her mom’s shoulder. A two year old A checks her out. Another one of my all-time faves.
And then here’s A in 2005, at only 8 1/2 months old. Doesn’t she look like her sister? Gorgeous – the both of them :)
These guys were such good sports – we zipped outside in the snow for a couple of shots, and they decided to brave the cold, but a good hug kept them warm. I love how long E’s hair has gotten since last year!
I swear, E looks just like a Gap model in this getup, doesn’t she? I love it.
And then last year, here’s E watching her mom waving from outside the window :)
And when E was just a little munchkin, we met back at the Janie & Jack photoshoots I used to do at the Natick Mall. Wasn’t she gorgeous, even then?
