Weymouth MA Baby Photographer – This sweet boy turned one!

Another cutie pie at the end of his Baby’s First Year package! I can’t believe this big boy is already one. We had three wonderful photoshoots this year, and I was so honored to be able to come document this handsome little dude on a gorgeous hot June day about a week ago. We got to play in the yard! Water table amazingness! And what’s better than playing with a hose? Pretty much nothing, when you’re one. Happy birthday, sweet boy!

ONE!

One year ago today I had the most amazing experience of my life: I got to be in the room with my baby sister and her fabulous husband while she pushed a person into the world. And what a person. Words are not really my thing – I never feel like I’m telling a story right, like I’m doing it justice. (Pictures, as you might guess, are more my thing.) Suffice it to say the addition of this person into my life, my kids’ lives, our family’s life – it’s been the best thing I could ever imagine. Welcome to ONE, little sweet girl.

She’s off and running.

Oh, but wait, the eyelashes?? Check ’em out. Insanity.

Hunkered down with Arkansan Daddy in the homeland:

Pondering the Pacific.

xoxox and many MOOOOORRRRE!

Adventures with a cutie

He was born 6 weeks early, but as his mama put it: in these last nine months he’s been making up for lost time! He loves his yummy soft foods (how perfect are those light eyes caught by the light coming in the window?)  And the one where his parents are blowing in his face to get him to laugh? I love his expression :) I think the one where his mama is kissing his cheek might be my favorite, though.

What a fun photoshoot – thanks so much for inviting me out!

Spring Public Garden Minishoot #11

Look who’s one! And she’s walking around like a little star :) These guys were my 2nd to last minishoot a couple of weeks ago, and we had such fun by the pink tulips, playing peek-a-boo behind the birch trees… she was wonderful.

So fun to meet you guys!

The joy of motherhood and the joy of Grace discovering the world brings much Joy to all of our family.

What a beautiful baby! Of course, we expected nothing less than a movie star with a Mom as beautiful as the one she has. I know she is a delight. Thank you so much for sharing!
Happy Birthday, Grace.
Love you both,
Dottie

These are all fabulous! What a great time for pics. If I had to pick just one, I think it would be #7 – peeking through the birch tree. Hugs!

#2!

Grandpa - May 16, 2013 - 9:05 am

Terrific job, like the birch trees too. Hope somebody doesn’t get stuck! Was the dress picked to match the tulips, or other way around?

Doug Marlowe - May 16, 2013 - 11:16 am

Wonderful. B&W is still one of my favorite techniques. She’s so photogenic and loves the camera. Check out my cover on FB, it’s one Liz posted and one of the best pics I’ve ever seen; beauty, joy and hope in color.

Spring Public Garden Minishoot #4

By this point in the day it was 10:30am and the sun was continuing to feel fantastic, the little guys were showing off their skills… and these 20 minute photoshoots were flying.

This guy just turned 1! I can’t believe how quickly the year flew by – and I loved punctuating the birthday week with a photoshoot. Look at those walking skills :)  I think one of my very faves is the daddy rolling onto his back and playing with G down on the ground – it was so spontaneous and sweet.  That and the 2nd walking picture towards the end of the shoot, when G is walking so happily towards mama and daddy’s looking on proudly in the background.

It was such a treat to see you guys with a camera in my hand – thanks for meeting me!

Spring Public Garden Minishoot #2

Now these kind of shoots are SOOooo fun for me – when I haven’t seen a little one since they were teenie, and I get to see how big and amazing they’ve gotten.  I haven’t seen little L since she was mere days old.  And now she’s 20 months old, and just t0-die-for cute.

Am I right?

So wonderful to see you guys again! I can’t believe how quickly the time flew :)

Roberta Skillin - May 1, 2013 - 7:22 pm

They are absolutely beautiful!! You did have an adorable model to work with:)

Spring Public Garden Mini-shoot #1

It’s that time of year again! It’s minishoot season, and the first of the two spring minishoots just went off without a hitch. The day on Saturday was out of this world, and it was so much fun seeing all these gorgeous families.

The day started off right with these two… I can’t believe she’s 18 months old already! Just love how active she is and how much hollering she’s doing these days :)

Happy birthday, baby girl!

This fantastic little girl and her mama did a baby’s first year package with me this year, and opted for package #2 – with 5 photoshoots in the first year.  This means I really felt like I got to watch her grow — it was so fun for me.

She’s really just an extraordinary little girl.  I love the 1 year old she’s become.  She’s quirky and funny, as she pulls herself up on the furniture and smashes granola bars in her mouth.  She adores her big brother, black lab Harry, and the two of them have a pretty amazing relationship.  He’s super gentle with her, and she just loves to play with him – even peek-a-boo ;)  And I love the picture we got where she stands up for her mama.  Such an exciting time.

Thanks for sharing this year with me!

Kristen Krikorian - September 13, 2012 - 4:23 pm

Happy Birthday Ellie! Great pics of that precious smile! What a happy familly! :-)

Erin - September 16, 2012 - 10:16 pm

Happy Birthday Sweet Ellie! Such great shots and I too adore the one of her standing up! Love the ruffles!

The birthday boy

These guys finished off their Baby’s First Year package last week with sweet J’s one year photoshoot.  It’s been so wonderful to see him grow this year.  My favorite art shot is the grass handoff between J and dad, but the cheesy grin picture is also too fantastic for words.  It really looks like we asked him to smile and he granted our wish :)  He also looks just like he’s reading to his mom in the book picture… smart kiddo.  I also really like the one where he’s lying in mom’s lap – a really sweet moment.  And my last favorite is the one inside where he was playing with blocks, with mum and dad watching from two different points in the picture.

Thanks so much for a great year of pictures, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

Spring Public Garden Mini-session #14

And my second mini-shoot day began on Saturday with GLORIOUS weather.  I met up with eight more families – bringing the spring total in the Public Garden to 21 sessions – and each one was wonderful.

Working with light like Saturday’s is a treat and a pleasure.  As is this little guy:

Luckily he brought his hilarious daddy:

So much to see!

Peek-a-boo!

Wonderful to see you guys again!

Great photographic technique and a wonderful subject.

Spring Public Garden Mini-shoot #1

Yesterday was gorgeous!  I had thirteen shoots over the day, and each one was a treat.  I loved seeing familiar faces and meeting new families, and we got so lucky with the weather.  Now I’m going to try to keep these blog posts short so I can move on to the next one – trying to get them all edited by Mother’s Day… (FYI, I have a couple of appointments left on my next minishoot day, Saturday, May 12th. More info is here.)

Handsome big 18 month old guy – this one is my favorite :)

And a mama squeeze :)

Janet - April 30, 2012 - 5:07 pm

What a picture of happiness! Nana

Adorable number three and his mama

I’ve been working with this beautiful mama since her oldest big girl was just a little munchkin.  I got to spend time with her and her 3rd beautiful baby last week while the bigger siblings were at school.  I hadn’t seen him since he was a newborn, and look how he’s grown!

A virtuouso at one!

With his lovey – a bunny/dog that he adores even though it’s having a bit of an identity crisis (yes, from this angle it looks like a bunny… from the back he has a long tail, though):

You can get lost in his big, beautiful eyes, can’t you?

Needed to pop outdoors for some tush pictures, of course:

Perfect sweet little hands:

I loved getting a chance to see you guys.  The family resemblance is fantastic!

andrea flaherty - September 20, 2011 - 5:22 pm

Jenn Anderson - September 20, 2011 - 6:19 pm

These are great photos. Maybe it’s because the subject is one of the great loves of my life.

Frog Pond splashes and curls

We did four photoshoots of this handsome boy last year when he was teenie tiny, and now that he’s a big boy of two, I ADORED spending some time with him splashing around the Boston Common’s Frog Pond last weekend.  This was my 3rd shoot of the day on the day Hurricane Irene blew through – just moments before the rain started.  But it was perfect weather for splashing!  But first we had to do some playing ball…

And bubble popping.

But all of this just led up to the thrilling moment when K got to jump in the Frog Pond.  Happy boy :)

Fun!

It was such fun splashing around with you!

Running adventures

I haven’t seen this gorgeous girl since she was a tiny twelve week old sweet thing, and just look at her 21 month old perfection now:

Running in the kitchen was by far her favorite activity:

She even got into the tub with her blue-jeaned mama for a few splashes for me.

And though it was March in New England, we zipped outside for a few, ’cause… why not?

Wonderful to see you guys again!
