Sad but true.
My girls don’t really let me photograph them anymore. They’re nine and twelve, and I can get them to pose for me in their Halloween costumes every year, but other than that, mama doesn’t really take out the big camera for their pictures anymore. So as I was brainstorming what to do for my 15th anniversary project for Boston Baby Photos this spring, I got thinking about tween girls.
Babies are so cute, new and chubby. Toddlers have those big, bright eyes and let's face it, they just do the darnedest things. But those tween ages are often forgotten. At ages 10-12, kids aren't children anymore but also aren't quite teens.
So this spring, in celebration of Boston Baby Photos’ 15 year anniversary, I'm making it my personal mission to capture those lost preteen years. My goal is to help tweens look and feel beautiful and have unshakable confidence in themselves when they hit junior high.
Introducing the "Who I am" Project
I’m starting the "Who I am" photography project to fill in the forgotten photo years. I also want to enrich the lives of these incredible pre-teens. My main goal of this project is to make pre-teens look and feel beautiful and be confident in who they are.
Who?
I’m looking for female models for this photography project, ages 10-12. I’ll ask the model and their parents a few questions, then combine the text and photographs to create one impactful piece of art.
Why "Who I am"?
I want to capture the personality of these tweens and record the last stage of their childhood before they become young ladies. I want them to realize their true beauty so that they are confident in themselves before they hit Junior High. Imagine the impact a single beautiful image can do for your tween’s self-image.
How to participate or nominate a friend:
Please email me by Friday, May 18th if you are interested in having your child participate in this project, or if you would like to nominate a friend or family member of yours that you think would be perfect for this. This June, as a celebration of my 15th anniversary, I've decided I'm going to do 15 of these "Who I am" in-home sessions at no charge to my clients (they're a $360 value). I've created a few pages on my website all about these sessions, too, so you can get more information about my "Who I Am" Project here.
This project's goal is to create a gorgeous group of photos that you and she will love and that truly show your daughter’s spirit and soul! Many people like to use these photos as birthday and “just because” gifts for their daughter. I'm introducing some Who I Am portrait collections just for this project, and those will start at $250. The collection details and photos of all the products are on the "Who I Am" Project site here.
After you email me, I will send you specific details and you can decide if this project is perfect for your daughter.
Hoping this sounds exciting to you too...
