New Baby’s First Year Coffeetable Albums

I swapped out my vendor for the Baby’s First Year coffeetable albums and I think you’re going to LOVE the new books. Of course I can still make the old style books if you prefer, but look how fantastic the new books are.

They’re beautifully linen covered, with an imprinted title:

We can fit up to 60 photos in the book, which means we can really tell the story all of your photoshoots from your Baby’s First Year package. The new books are also a lot more flexible with the designs/layouts, which makes it really fun for me…

And ooh, fun, you can watch the video where I turn the pages of this album:

You can also flip through all the page layouts, just in case you’re curious about what kind of photos I take in my Baby’s First Year photoshoots.

Let me know what you think!

New Coffeetable Albums

This is exciting, you guys. I’m swapping out my vendor for my photobooks and I think you’re going to really dig these new books. Here’s the photobooks page on the (new! improved!) BBP website with all the information/pricing.

Of course I can always make you one of the old style of books to match the books you’ve been making with me for years, but new stuff is fun so I want you to check these out.

Look how elegant. Linen covered. Imprinted with your title.

Wait, what’s the Annual Plan? (Two shoots within a nine month period, one at home and one as a minishoot on location somewhere. My Annual Plan #2 and #4 come with one of these books included.)

The layouts for the new books are awesome, and they lay flat so I can make photos spread across two pages (yes, this is COOOOOOOOL).

More info about the Annual Plan is here, and all the coffeetable book details are here.

Is it a Cake Smash or a Smash Cake Photoshoot?

Big news! I just added my version of a “Cake Smash” Photoshoot as a $250 minishoot option onto my website.

The BBP answer to the Cake Smash Phenomenon

So I’m sure you’ve heard of it out there in the world. You’ve probably seen the adorable studio photos lots of photographers like to do — white backdrops, messy babies completely surprised and enjoying destroying their first birthday cake — just an insanely fun mess. The classic “cake smash” (or is it “smash cake”?) photoshoot. Well, I’m not into studio stuff, so this is my way of doing it.

I now offer “Get Messy, Take a Bath Minishoots” at your house!

Well, here’s what I’d like to do instead, and you tell me if you think it’ll be fun.

I’m calling my new offering “Get Messy/Take a Bath Minishoots”, and they’re 20 minute minishoots, at your house, for $250. And you get a framed print of your choice after the shoot. Cool, eh?

CHECK it out. All the details are on the new website here.

I do have a few rules, though.

  1. No fancy clothes. You’re getting messy. Clothes are extraneous. Bare bellies or clothes you don’t mind getting covered in food are best.
  2. No posing. Nobody looking at the camera, k?
  3. The first 10 minutes we’ll be eating something messy (provided by you – whatever you think your little person will enjoy – doesn’t need to be a cake to smash, could be avocado and blueberries, whatever) and getting completely covered in it.
  4. The second 10 minutes will be our getting clean pictures. Usually in the tub, but sometimes in the sink. Also could be with a hose in the backyard, whatever’s fun.

And then, after you’re completely covered and messy (aka 10 minutes after we start)…

And that’s it! I designed these sessions for babies, but really any children who still like to get messy and then cleaned up in a tub or with a hose outside will be great for this.

It’ll be amazing. Seriously. Read all the details here.

And if you think your bathroom’s big enough, call some friends…

Boston Sensory Solutions & BBP

I had the opportunity this week to hang photos over at a really cool space, and I wanted to show you guys.

Do you guys know about Boston Sensory Solutions? It is an extraordinary place for kids with a sensory processing disorder. It’s just off 93 in East Milton Square, and not only is Bridget, the Occupational Therapist/owner of BSS, a wonderfully fantastic person/clinician/coach, the space itself is has three incredible therapy rooms.

So without further ado, here’s the display I put together for the waiting room walls over there. It highlights my Turner’s Pond Minishoots, which are my most inexpensive photoshoots, starting at only $175. They’re offered year round, on your schedule.

We decided to go with Metal Prints – don’t you love them? Aren’t they so amazingly shiny and bright? They’re even more fantastic in person.

Here’s a closeup so you can see how shiny and fantastic the color metal prints look. I am so in love with these. Thanks, fishtank for the helpful reflection ;)…

And because everybody loves a video, I shot one so you could see all the details even more clearly. My kids find this video so hilarious that they keep making me play it over and over for them – apparently I make extremely embarrassing, silly whooshing noises as I show you guys around the space. Oh well, I have embraced my ridiculousness.

Enjoy.
