Six months ago today, two new people came into the world. They are perfect, amazing little beings, and their giggles and stinky farts impress us all on a daily basis.
But really, I think I need to take a minute to bow down and pay homage to their parents (my sister and brother-in-law). They truly amaze me every day with what they manage and the balls they keep in the air. Whenever anyone asks me how they’re doing, I always say, they’re incredible. They’re exhausted. They’re deep. They’re in this thing. But really, they’re superheroes. Three under three and two full time jobs for most of the last six months isn’t for the faint of heart.
But now I get to regale you with the cuteness. Because come ON? Blow you away adorable, right?
Oh, and guess who got a tooth since I took these photos last Friday?
(Spoiler alert: Sir-chews-a-lot.)
Love you all, so so much.
And Jackalacka, I’m so glad those teeth finally burst through. Ouch. Our family’s been just overwhelmed by the addition of a Y chromosome in your generation – so thrilled for your bowties and your sweet amazing boy-ness. ILYVM, sweet boy.
Elliebell, your gravely cry when you wake up from your nap makes me both smile and feel sad for you. Because crying’s no good. But wow it’s a cute cry. And keep grinning your big open-mouthed grin because it makes everybody happy. ILYVM, sweet girl.
And not to forget Jojo — girl, you did it, you made it through the first six months as a big sister. Well done, love bug. It only gets better from here. They’ll be “playing” with you any day now. And even though that’s sometimes hard, it’s also the best thing ever.
