Now this is one patient mama – she asked for a blog post a month ago and I have been just running to stand still with this crazy season of the year, but I had to get this up for her before I shut down my computer today (on my last working day of 2012! yahooeeee!). What a fantastic family these guys are. I’ve loved getting to know them over the past couple of years. And even better? We got grandma this time, too. Wonderful to see you guys!

Met this little four week old cutie pie last weekend, and OK, you had me at Infant Santa suit. Come on now. Not to mention those long legs and arms and FEET! Love those sweet long feet. Almost as long as daddy’s finger. The one of him making his surprised face is cracking me up, too. And the last one, where Daddy is stroking M’s forehead with this new trick that soothes him to sleep? Perfection.
We spent this whole photoshoot indoors because it was warm and cozy in there – and what’s better than rolling around on the bed, on the couch, just playing.
I have one cuddly picture in here that tells a little story from the editing side of things – and it’s the one of mama on the bed with her two kids squashing up in close with her. This one is not the crispest photo, and the old Jess – the Jess before she had her own kids, the more technically precise Jess – wouldn’t have approved of it. But the love is just bursting out of this picture – two babies crawling up tight to their mama – I had to keep it. Because who cares about a little motion blur when the moment just makes your heart melt?
It’s been a few years since I saw these twin boys, so it was really fun for me to come back and see how they’ve grown into smart, fun, energetic 4 year old boys. I love so many of these, but the jumping holding hands one is one of my favorites – and this first one, as they rolled around on the daybed. Oh, and I can’t forget the tossing leaves one – it makes me smile just to look at all the expressions.
So great to see you guys!
These two are just brilliant – do you believe they know how to spell MERRY XMAS? I mean, really? The complexity, understanding that “X” – Mas is a shortened version of Christmas? Makes sense, I mean they only had that small chalkboard to work with… you can see why they’d write it that way… but I just have to admit it’s impressive ;)
Look at this big one year old girl!! Cake smash :)
