Fall Public Garden Minishoot #10

These guys came to their shoot with a fabulous bonus family member – Dad’s little brother. What’s better for two brothers who love to toss the ball around? A bigger friend and brother who’s happy to toss it too!

These guys make me happy every year – this year it happened to be on my minishoot day in the Public Garden, and we had the perfect weather, too.  Good times.

Public Garden Mini-shoot #11: Tickles and giggles

I wish I had time to blog all 36 of the shoots I’ve had so far this October – but there just aren’t enough hours in the day. So I’m blogging by request – and this mama was having a hard time choosing. Here are my faves :)

Saw these guys a couple of years ago at a minishoot when little sister R was just a babe – now she’s a big girl with gorgeouso flowy curls.  These momma hugging girlie and daddy hugging big boy pictures are also making me really happy this morning.

Public Garden Mini-shoot #8: Goofball-a-rific

I have been taking pictures of these two for years and years – I met them back when M was in her mama’s tummy, actually.  In fact, I swore I’d seen an expression like I captured the other day before… and then I remembered.  M’s been making this face for a while.  See what I mean in the screenshot from my website’s homepage – they’re featured, five years ago :)

I love these guys, and I (as always) can’t believe they’re getting so big!

Public Garden Mini-shoot #6: Run!

And here’s my last peek into blogging for the night – these guys asked for a quickie blog post and we had such fun I had to oblige.  And just for good measure (because the mama in this family and I go way back) I’m fulfilling one of her requests with the jumping photo.  See, when they showed up for their shoot we laughed about how her husband had hacked her Facebook account that morning and had asked her friends chime in by singing his (dad’s) praises. She told me I had to get a bad picture of him and include it so she could use it against him.  Never one to let a challenge go unmet, I’m doing you a solid here, Julie, with the jumping picture.  I think it’s just soooo funny that in this particular moment the only one who’s caught any air is dad.  It just makes me smile.  Josh – don’t hate me! :)

Public Garden Mini-shoot #4: Ducks love cheerios

OK, so as I just mentioned in the last blog post, I’m only blogging by request this month, so when this mama asked for some ideas of my favorite pictures from the session – and I thought the easiest way to show her my favorites was in a blog post.  Because then I can use this spot to point out how fun these duck pictures are.  The ducks in the Public Garden are soooo tame – almost too tame.  These ducks were very interested in the Cheerios these boys were offering, and I’m not sure you can see it in the blog version of this picture, but this male mallard in the foreground has a Cheerio in his beak and it’s catching the light in such a cool way… I love it.

Oh, and the boys are pretty fabulous too. Great to see you guys!

Maybe they’ll keep practicing their game of catch?

I’m peeking my head back into the blogosphere for a few families tonight – I’m blogging only by request this month, and I’m so glad these guys asked for a post.  I LOVE these catch photos – such a perfect little sister position – hands over her eyes (or, who am I kidding – it’s my position too whenever my husband tries to convince me that I know how to catch things – unfortunately, I don’t.  Hope little D isn’t doomed to my fate).

Really fun to see you guys again!

All the pictures are great, especially the one of the whole family (love Benji’s protective hand reaching out to Dara). Such joy and happiness on everyone’s face.

I wish I were that adorable when I was a kid. My parents would have loved me then. Actually, that’s not true they still wouldn’t have loved me. Ok, that’s a joke, except for the adorable kids part. Benji and Dara make all those kids in those baby modeling magazines look like posers. Just saying. I’m currently oooing at the computer screen and my housemates think I’m strange. So I’m going to stop now. Thanks for sharing!

Cutest kids in Boston! I can’t wait to meet them!! I love the black/white fall photographs.

October blogging break

It’s that time of the year again – when I start shooting sooo much that there’s no time for sleep or much else.  So blogging is on hiatus, guys – I’ll pop up once in a while with a post in the next eight weeks, but it’s nose to the grindstone time.

More blogging to come when everything lightens up in 2013!
