First birthday giggles

The last time I saw this guy, it was last September and he was 3 weeks old.  (That’s one of my favorite shots from last fall’s shoot…)

His monkey imitation:

Wonderful to see you guys again!  Happy birthday, big boy.

What a beautiful family! I love the one of him reaching for his photo…and he is having so much fun getting tossed up in the air and reading! Happy 1st bday!

Grandma & Grandpa Devine - September 8, 2010 - 11:15 pm

Happy 1st Birthday Charlie!!! We love you and your such a happy boy. Great pictures – you are always smiling.

Sqeeeeze that sister

Luckily she didn’t seem to mind :)

One of my dearest friends from high school is that crazy daddy over in the back of this picture, rough housing (is that one word or two?) with his munchkin –

Do you believe these eyes?

Happy toothy sister:

Eyelashes to beat the band:

Love mom’s patient expression, pleading with dad not to pull the tiny arms out of the tiny sockets…

You guys are awesome, and lollipops are magic!

Pointed toes and a great gummy smile

I loved coming back to see this sweet boy after we did his 3 month pictures back in March.  Now he’s a big 8 month old boy with a fantastic profile…

Incredible eyes:

Excellent standing skills (and the gummy smile):

The best pointed toes (yes, this is all ab muscle holding these feet in this position!):

See what I mean about the pointed toes?

And I just love this toothless little expression… somehow when babies without teeth close their little mouths they have the best little tight lipped expression…

Love the tootsies.

And hammock pictures are always a challenge – somehow they weren’t with D – he was perfect.  Love the double chin here.

And of course, a big sloppy kiss.

Running and giggling

Having a hard time choosing a favorite of these two girls from a few weeks ago.  We started out at their house near the Boston Public Garden, and the inside ones are so sweet…

Correct me if I’m wrong, but don’t we have a great piano picture from S’s first shoot years and years ago? Love this, now that she can actually play :)

But then we zipped outside to the Public Garden and got wonderful ones outside too… I’m loving this messy-haired real sister moment here…

Wait up!

Wonderful to see you guys as always!

Announcing the Fall Mini-Shoots in the Public Garden

It’ll be Saturday, October 2nd, and I’ll be shooting 20 minute sessions on the half hour for $250 each.  As of this post, I have a handful of spots left – you can see my whole schedule online (at the bottom of the page) here.

Please note, all children included must be over one year old at time of the mini-shoot.

And if you’re interested, these are the kinds of photos I take during a mini-session.

The raindate for the Mini-Shoot day is 10/10/10 (cool date!).  Let me know if you’d like to get into the calendar for 10/2.

File this under: Fun mama, a boy and his static

Patient, patient wonderful mom and dad of these two cuties, I’m so sorry it’s been 2 1/2 WEEKS since we had our session, you are so nice to wait so long for your pictures.  But oh – so worth waiting for! Look at these adorable munchkins with their favorite stuffed animals at grandma and grandpa’s house:

Lovely, lovely girl.

Love the toes in the air and J’s face here:

Where’s my brother?

With their fun fabulous mama:

Static!

And see what I mean about fun mama?

Handsome boy :)

And no shoot is complete without a bit of melting down…

You guys are awesome.  So fun to see you again this year.

Happy 1st bday, big boy!

Look at this big handsome boy! Can’t believe this year went by so fast. I saw him a few times this year – when he was just 10 days old and then again when he was a big boy of 3 months old, and then just now, for his one year pictures.   It was his ACTUAL birthday, too – last week.  I always feel so honored to spend birthdays with little ones, and this guy was so much fun.

Sorry these pictures took me so long to send to you guys!

His block was stuck under the chair.  Um, some help here?

Loved seeing you again, big man :)

Back to work!

Tomorrow would mark three weeks since I last posted on the blog – had to quick get this one up before we hit the 3 week mark, lest you think I’ve been resting on my laurels this summer.  I’ve been lucky enough to take some time with my girls in the past few weeks.  I’ve been shooting a bit, here and there as childcare allows… but I hoarded my own babies for a few weeks of relaxing at the pool, and when throughout the year my weekends are usually booked with photoshoots, over the past few weeks I even got to take time to do some rare weekend celebrating with grownups (35 birthdays, bridal showers, bachelorette parties)…

But now for those here-and-there families who’ve been so patient waiting for their pictures. Over the next few days I am in final edits for six recent sessions.  Here’s the first.  Thanks for your patience, guys!

Here’s my #1 most favorite, perfect one.

The girls.

And brotha.

Showing me a missing tooth.

Loving mama’s reading style.

I like all three interested in this one:

The funky turquoise bracelet here brings to mind mom’s own mom’s ring, from photos of hers from childhood.  The idea makes me happy.

Hehe.
