Every six months, always a cutie

I met baby A back in the fall of ’06 when she was three weeks old, sooo tiny and adorable. Since then I’ve been able to see her every six months, and it’s so much fun to see how big she’s getting. She’s 18 months old now… look how far she’s come:

And getting a mom squeeze:

Then here she is at 6 months old. Do you believe the chubby arms? Too perfect.

Daddy is hilarious!

And then as a one year old big girl, with a fantastic palm tree hairdo:

And this was just after we won the series last year. Go Sox!

And now here’s the girlie at 18 months. Gorgeous curls, twinkling eyes (as usual), and a smile to beat the band.

I love this one, as she peers over my shoulder at something fascinating. Her cheeks are still so great.

Where’s your belly button?

She’s a daredevil on the slide, too :)

I’ve had a great time getting to know A and her family over the past couple of years… can’t wait for the fall when the big girl turns two!

5 photoshoots with one gorgeous boy

Am I lucky or what? This cutie’s family found me in the summer of 2005, when I was roundly pregnant with my now 2 1/2 yr old girlie, and when this guy was only three months old. And now, five photoshoots later, H is three YEARS old, and words can’t express how adorable he’s continued to be. I’ll let the pictures do the talking. Here he is at his first photoshoot, at 3 months old:

And then here he is at seven months old – one of my all-time favorite shots:

And then here, with his maternal grandparents, at one year old:

And then last year, at his two year old photoshoot, with mom:

And now here’s the big boy, from Saturday morning – now three years old:

And here, playing with his birthday train set with “Grumpy” looking on in the background.

And blowing some bubbles with Mom:

So the funniest part of this year’s photoshoot was little H playing camp counselor with his entire family. He had two sets of grandparents at the photoshoot, and one-by-one, he took each person by the hand and set up this red rover scene… boys on one side, girls on the other. It was a big problem for him when I stood on the boys side to get a shot of him with the women behind him! Too funny.

And then, last shot of the day – he lined everyone up in a row (he even wanted me to join). It made everyone laugh so much! Thanks for tons of great photos over the years – can’t wait to keep up the tradition as you get bigger and bigger!

Their miracle baby

Tiny little J was a perfect, wonderful surprise for her mom and dad after they had been trying to adopt for three years. I loved getting the chance to meet her last week. This beauty arrived a bit early, and now, at four weeks old, she’s up to 8 pounds, and she was a dream for her pictures.

Crossed at the ankles? Already so feminine!

I love the (newly arrived) chubby cheeks, and the sweet puffyness around her eyes… and the wrinkles on the back of her hands… not to mention the twinkle in her eyes. You really can’t beat the twinkle.

The round new belly – before the thighs get their chunks and start to out-cute the belly… Perfect girl.

Couldn’t resist the fuzzy blanket shot :)

How long will she be the length of mom’s forearm? Not long!

Carla and Paul,

She is just so beautiful…Carla, she’s definitely your daughter. She has this great little infant grin in these photos that can’t help but capture your heart.

She is as pretty as her mommy.

Love her so much already.

4 week photos – a family tradition

Meet L, a gorgeous new baby sister to a wonderful family I’ve known for a while now. I took pictures of her older brother and sister when they were 4 weeks old too, and it’s so much fun to look back at those pictures now and compare…

And here’s mom, holding the twins 2 1/2 years ago.

And here’s big brother W and big sister A from this afternoon… Don’t they have the best grins?

Now here’s a few of A from this afternoon, so you can get a sense of how much she looks like her sibs!

Gorgeous girlie! Isn’t her expression perfect? Such wise eyes.

0570, originally uploaded by Boston Baby Photos.

4 week olds don’t often smile like this. It’s very fun when they do :)

And now, jumping back in time a couple of years – here are the twins at four weeks. I love this nose-pinch one. One of my all-time faves.

Here’s big brother W. I think new little L looks a lot like her brother! Especially in the eyes.

7565, originally uploaded by Boston Baby Photos.

And here’s big sister A – with her sweet clasped hands. I can see the resemblance here too…

7574, originally uploaded by Boston Baby Photos.

And then a preview of coming cuteness – here’s the twins at 15 months old. I’ve had such fun seeing them get bigger in the last couple of years, I can’t wait to capture the new beautiful L in the same way! Thanks for continuing the tradition, guys :)

A gorgeous big sister

In just a few more weeks, 7 year old M will be a big sister, and she’s so excited! She’s going to be a dream of a helper, I can tell. She already loves kissing her mom’s belly :) Mom wanted to do these pictures as a present for her husband, who I think’s going to love them!

Look at this pretty girl:

Both beauties, close up with those smiles:

If M’s not careful, she could trip on those eyelashes!

0455, originally uploaded by Boston Baby Photos.

And the sweetest thing is that M likes to read books to the baby in her mom’s belly…

The nearer your destination the more you’re splish splashing away

Last year I met K for his first birthday photos, and we had a grey, icky day then, too. It made peeking out the window pictures fun, though:

And here he is again from last year, when he was just turning one. Bang-bang-banging on the step stool :)

And then yesterday morning (before the day brightened up) we started out indoors (and got tons of adorable shots indoors – can’t wait to show you guys)… here’s one by the window with teddy.

0109, originally uploaded by Boston Baby Photos.

And then I begged to do some outside puddle pictures (they might be my favorites with two year old boys!)… and I’m so in love with these. Doesn’t the reflection in the puddle make a cool shape in this one? I love the trees reflecting, too…

Tricycle grins:

Love his wet cuffs and excited face. He doesn’t believe he’s being allowed to do something so fabulous!

0200, originally uploaded by Boston Baby Photos.

And I’m afraid I have a terrible addiction. I’m addicted to taking pictures of dads throwing their little guys up in the air. I should seek counseling. But it just feels so good, and I just love the pictures so much. I know, I know, I need help.

See ya later, alligator!

Basket of goodness

I almost didn’t notlice little O when I walked into the room where he was lying peacefully in his basket this morning. He’s only 7 weeks old, and it’s hard to tell in this picture, but he has the best hair – mom’s little monchhichi :)

09915, originally uploaded by Boston Baby Photos.

This is, “Mommy, I’m so sorry I kept you up so much last night.” I think he’s forgiven.

09906, originally uploaded by Boston Baby Photos.

I just love those little fingers up in the air – not to mention the gorgeous eyes.

09985, originally uploaded by Boston Baby Photos.

09945, originally uploaded by Boston Baby Photos.

And as we finished up the pictures today, O graciously fell asleep – I think because he knew how adorable he was as he slept. He wanted to make sure we got a few snoozing shots. What a guy. Thanks for today, guys! I’ll send you a link to all your pictures as soon as I can.

Another perfect newbie

So here’s the last post from this spring’s Jimmy Fund Studio Day – ten wonderful families brought their cuties in for studio photos (which I only do for charity a couple of times a year) and this is the last one for this spring. It’s tiny J – absolutely adorable tootsies, first… can’t lose with toes…

0065, originally uploaded by Boston Baby Photos.

J had a grin to end all grins.

0070, originally uploaded by Boston Baby Photos.

So I have to admit one of the things I love about teenie tiny newborns is their fantastic expressions – this one says to me “You know, you guys all look pretty funny dancing, but if I must… Raise the roof!”

0097, originally uploaded by Boston Baby Photos.

And oh – wow – does anyone else just love this one the way I do? It’s just so fun! Craning his little neck… adorable.

0092, originally uploaded by Boston Baby Photos.

So thanks again to all my Jimmy Fund Studio Day families. We raised over $800 for the Jimmy Fund, and got lots of great photos doing it!

Three years of cuteness

Back in 2006, little J was just over a year old, and I got to come in and take some pictures to commemorate his birthday. Since then, I’ve been lucky enough to be able to come back and visit for each successive year.

Then here’s the big boy at 2 years old in 2007:

And one more from last year. I just love this quiet moment, and J’s splayed out fingers…

And now I got to spend Tuesday morning with J – he’s a fabulously active three year old now, so we got some really fun action shots.

Playing with Mom – I love the motion in this photo… as if they’re both flying out of the two sides of the frame because they’re having so much fun.

9669, originally uploaded by Boston Baby Photos.

And my favorite – kids and water! I love taking pictures while kids play in water… it’s such a universal favorite among little guys.

9850, originally uploaded by Boston Baby Photos.

And then last but not least – quiet time. Always important to capture.

9 week old cutie

So any parent knows those first weeks after the baby’s born are exhausting and amazing, all at once. My last two Jimmy Fund Studio Day sessions were of these fantasticly adorable newborns, and here’s #1 of 2. Do you believe this coy half-smile?

09978, originally uploaded by Boston Baby Photos.

This is one of my favorites – I love those pursed lips and the pensive look on her face. She’s got us figured out!

10012, originally uploaded by Boston Baby Photos.

Teenie fingers… and her expression, so fascinated with my big light…

09988, originally uploaded by Boston Baby Photos.

It is exhausting being a star.

09976, originally uploaded by Boston Baby Photos.

And peeking up at me, with mom helping on the head-holding front…

Twinkling eyes, every time

Here’s another little one I’ve known since she was just a wee girlie. Her mom and I were in the same mom’s group in Somerville when our girls were first born, so it’s really fun for me to see how she grows every time I take her picture. Here she is at her first photoshoot with me, at my Sept ’06 Jimmy Fund Studio Day…

754, originally uploaded by Boston Baby Photos.

I just love how fair her skin is, and how fantastic her blue eyes look with this adorable little blue smock dress:

759c, originally uploaded by Boston Baby Photos.

And then that Halloween, I got to capture G dressed up as a leopard. Not many cuter leopards out there.

178, originally uploaded by Boston Baby Photos.

And then this Halloween (’07), I got to experience another of G’s costumes… this time a ladybug, of course.

1904, originally uploaded by Boston Baby Photos.

And now last week, at the 1:30pm appointment of my Jimmy Fund Studio Day, 2 1/2 year old G arrived, and yay – she was a pleasure. Isn’t that grin killer?

9955, originally uploaded by Boston Baby Photos.

Do you believe her mom said she refuses to pose for pictures at home? Isn’t it always the way? Put her in the lights in the studio, though, and she was hilarious!

9926c, originally uploaded by Boston Baby Photos.

And I love all her different expressions. Ahhhhhh! :)

9937, originally uploaded by Boston Baby Photos.

And this one needed to be color – those eyes with that pink dress… just so lovely.
